In China, there was a high level of contamination due to factories, cars, etc, and because of the closure of the factories since, it has been ordered to stay home so that the coronavirus virus does not spread, all this level of contamination has been reduced.
They went from seeing the gray sky to being able to see it blue, something that they had almost never been able to do before. Satellite images published by NASA and ESA show the incredible reduction in nitrogen dioxide emissions. From February 3 to March 1, CO2 emissions decreased by at least 25%.
Still, experts warn that when the Chinese economy begins to restart, the toxic chemicals could reach higher levels than before the pandemic.
We are in a very delicate moment with the issue of pollution and the environment, and hearing that for a few days we have been able to reduce this impacts me and at the same time make me happy. In my opinion, it is not nonsense that the world is destroying itself and I believe that after this, there will be people who will realize the damage we are causing to the planet.
